A Dream Come True!

Patty, like most girls, clearly has been dreaming about her wedding day for a long time.  It was very clear that she had tried her best to plan the wedding of her dreams.  When I got a call from her venue location saying there was a problem a few days before the wedding, I knew that Patty was totally stressing out (as any bride would).  There were a variety of issues getting access to the facility pre-ceremony.  I spoke with the coordinator in detail and was able to address/resolve the issues.  When I called and explained everything to Patty, she was incredibly releaved.  She said “I am SO glad we selected you as our wedding photographers, you are the absolute best!”  I explained to her that since we have photographed over 250 weddings, we are usually able to work around just about anything.  At Hunts Photography, we do whatever we can to make our clients happy.  We assist them in planning the day of their dreams, as well as capturing photos that are more beautiful that they ever imagined.

It was so awesome to see Patty the morning of the wedding.  She was absolutly bursting with excitment and anticipation.  She couldn’t wait to finally put on her wedding dress – for real!  Just as we hope for all “our couples”, her special day was flawless.

Lucky for us, Patty was very photogenic.   Her excitment was captured in the photographs and I can’t help but smile when I look at them.

There were many highlights to their day, but the memory that stands out the most occured during post-ceremony photos.  We had just finished family photos and started bridal party pics when a guest inturruped and gave her cell phone to the groom.  So of course, we’re all thinking “Um…can’t you see he’s a little busy right now?”  The bride and bridal party even began acting shocked and disgusted (for the photos) at this odd interruption.  As it turns out, the call was from a guy who was supposed to be the groom’s best man.  Unfortunately, he ended up getting deployed to Iraq prior to the wedding so obviously he had to step down from this honored wedding position in order to serve our country.  However, he worked out a plan so that he could still be a part of their big day.  Obviously, that included a post-ceremony phone call.  It also included the presence of a life-sized photo statue that stood in for him (I was told this is how tall he really is).  (Way to go Alec, a very creative way to be a part of their day.  We are all indebted to you for your service to our country and the sacrifices you have made).

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Fout!!  It was our honor to capture beautiful memories for you and your famililes.  We hope and pray that you will enjoy your wedding photos with many generations to come.

What a beautiful day for a wedding.  The perfect overcast sky was ideal for amazing photographs.  Nick and Kelly were so excited their day had finally arrived.  Kelly had worked meticulously to make sure every detail was covered.  All that was left to do was….get dressed and get married!

They chose a quaint little town called Westfield Center to begin their new life together.  Luckily, they also chose the award winning photographers of Hunts Photography!  We were able to capture some beautiful memories for the newlyweds and we all had so much fun doing so.

Congratulations Nick & Kelly!

Will you Marry Me???

23 Apr MattEngage__0047-1

We were SO excited to get Matt’s call.  He explained that he was planning to ask his girlfriend, Kalie, to marry him Friday night.  He said that Kaylie loved Northbank Park, and they had talked about getting married there.  He knew it was the perfect place to ask her to marry him.  Matt thought of every detail, (which is why he called us!).  Everthing was prepared.  There was only one problem…It was pouring down rain.  Of course, Kaylie had no idea what the evening held so with all the rain, she had no interest in going to the park.  Luckily, Matt was able to convince her to go.  We were waiting in a covered area by the “glass house”.   The unsuspecting Kaylie was lead there, to the only dry area in the park.  Upon their arrival, we were taking various photos, and greeted them as you would any passer by.  We then asked if they didn’t mind posing for a quick photo for us.  Matt took his que and right after their photo, he was on his knee – asking “Kaylie, Will you Marry Me?”  He placed the beautiful diamond ring on her finger.  She grabbed him into an embrace joyfully replied “Yes”.

We then took various engagement portraits and had Kaylie flaunt her new “hardware”.  We tried to get few photos by the river but the wind was unbearable.  We gave them our “Wedding Umbrella” to use (we always keep this in the car – just in case ;)  and within minutes, the wind turned it inside out.  We all agreed it was best to postpone the rest of our engagement session to a day when the weather will cooperate.

We are SO very excited for Matt & Kaylie and their new life together as they prepare to be husband & wife.  They are such a wonderful couple with a bright future.  We have to give Matt a lot of credit for thinking to freeze this moment in time for all to see through professional photographs.  I can see them in the future… sharing their memories with their children and grandchildren.  Way to go Matt!

Congratulations Matt & Kaylie!!!

The Lady Cyclones!

8 Feb Cyclones

We had a great time last week with the Lady Cyclones.  When we got all our photos done, we played around and had some fun.  The girls really wanted to do a pyramid but I was a little nervous because they were getting ready for a big game.  We did a mini-pyramid to be safe!

What a cute couple and a beautiful wedding.  Katie and John picked a beautiful location – Scioto Reserve Country Club.  This facility was designed specifically for weddings – complete with a Bridal Suite and a Groom’s Suite.  Each “Suite”  even has lockers for all members of the bridal party – even parents of the bride and groom.  This is definately one of our favorite wedding/reception locations.

Katie and  John decided to go with a ”non-traditional” schedule and see each other before the wedding so they could get most of their wedding photos done and also enjoy some of the cocktail hour before their reception.  For couples who choose this type of schedule, we highly suggest an intimate moment where they first see each other.  We had just started to set up this special meeting when Katie comes flying out of the bridal suite to meet her handsome groom.  Luckily, we’re always ready for whatever happens and Troy & I both captured the moment in a series of fast clicks.

The highlight of the day (in my opinion) was the “tunnel of love”  that was created for the beautiful couple as they exited their reception to officially begin their life together as husband and wife.  We organized the bridal party so they were holding the couples ”wedding sign” to utilize as the perfect backdrop for this special moment.

Katie is so excited about their beautiful photos that she can’t wait to show them off!  A few days after the wedding and she’s already selecting prints and albums.  I’m so tickled by her eagerness.   I guess she made the right choice by selecting an award winning wedding photographer!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Horst!

Wow, hopefully your holidays weren’t as busy as ours!  I felt like I barely had time to breathe this past month!  WHEW!

One thing that’s been keeping us really busy is a recent photoshoot with the Upward Basketball and Cheerleading league at Grove City Church of the Nazarene.  There are 95 teams so it’s quite a task!

GO TEAM!
